The lubrication of tool elements such as ejectors, sliders, folding units, latch locking, etc. becomes challenging when plastic parts (visible parts) are contaminated with the greases due to the "pumping movement".

The often aggressive outgassing of the plastics washes around the lubricated elements and can destroy the lubricating films of conventional, non-resistant lubricants. Another increasing requirement is to achieve high shot numbers without re-lubrication of the sliding surfaces.

Under the complex production conditions described, most of the lubricants currently used are overtaxed. This leads to undesirable insufficient lubrication with the consequences: short maintenance intervals, contamination, increased burr formation, tear-off of the ejectors, etc. In addition, time-consuming cleaning of the moulded parts is often necessary before further processing.
